Day on the Front Lines of Strategy
This is our ongoing training program.
It consists of a series of modules that focus on developing specific strategic skills. The modules
combine live training and testing. They are used in conjunction with the on-line
Strategy School training. Each module consists of approximately eight hours of
additional training.
Eight standard modules are offered initially. More modules are in
development. The current modules are as follows:
-
Cultivating Information Sources for Strategic Perspective
-
Evaluating Opportunities in the Competitive
Environment
-
The Six Strategic Positions and How to Use Them
-
Minimizing Mistakes: Advancing Your Position by Failing Safely
-
The Nine Common Strategic Situations and Their Responses
-
The Role of Creativity in Creating Momentum
-
Claiming a Position to Make Victory Pay
-
Defending Against External Challenges
Though a single module could theoretically be presented in a single day,
modules are designed to be split into two or three sessions. The modules
allow time between sessions for attendees to work through assignments
and finish different sections of Strategy
School lessons. Modules are usually offered in a 1+1 format, that is, two
half-day sessions presented about a week apart. However, if attendees or
their organization would prefer to work in the evenings, modules can also be
offered in a 1+1+1 format of three three-hour evening sessions.
The split session format is important because it allows the students to
complete assignments that are part of the module. The issues or questions
discovered while working through these assignment are discussed in the
following session of the module.
Individuals can complete modules in any quantity or order, depending on the
needs of their particular jobs.
The organization may also wish to set goals for its people for
completing Warrior Class certification. Completing modules on an ongoing basis
allows your people a regular environment for marking their progress through
the Warrior Class. Trainers can also address any questions people have
about their on-line progress.
